Five Months & Growing!!!

Look at my great looking and very pregnant wife! Heather is doing well after several days of being sick. We just finished some great taco soup that Heather Made. Send us an email and we'll send you the recipe. Muy Bueno!!! I had an interesting conversation this morning in the middle of our finance team meeting. Brad and Don kidded me and made sure I knew how expensive it is to raise a girl. "she will go through your money like crazy"! So we're saving our pennies! Back to Heather. She glows every day and is doing great. She is going to be a great mom. By the way we are giving to all moms and moms to be at Lifepoint Godiva chocolates on Mothers Day Weekend! Join us!

Bruce Goes to International!

Right before our third anniversary, Bruce and I spent a week in different parts of the world. Bruce led a mission team to Costa Rica. He planned this trip over a year ago for CrossPointe Church. When CrossPointe and LifePoint partnered together this last fall, international missions was one of our non-negotiables. As a result, this is first of many international mission trips for LifePoint. Many of the team members are brand new believers, and this was their first mission trip.

The team ministered in San Jose where they helped a new church plant in the city. Then they traveled by open air bus up the mountains to Turrialba where they ministered in an orphanage and a children's hospital, held youth evangelistic meetings at night and hosted a pastor's conference during the day. Over 30 pastor's attended to receive training and instruction for ministry.

While Bruce was enjoying the gorgeous views of Costa Rica and the wonderful coffee, I was spending time with my sister in San Antonio, TX. She is 6 mos. pregnant with twin boys. Our visit consisted of lots of laying around on the sofa while her husband, Jon, made us cherry limeades and brownies. I did get some great Tex-Mex and Bar-B-Que which Baby Moore enjoyed very much!

The Daily Kick Celebrates Three Years!

We are celebrating our three year anniversary this weekend in Orlando!  We kicked off our celebration by stopping at Abuelo's Mexican Food Embassy that has recently opened in Lakeland, FL.  Bruce has been trying to wrangle anyone interested in driving to Lakeland to experience the embassy of all mexican food.  Finally, his food embassy experience has become a reality.  

Neither of us are really quite sure how our world is about to change, but we are bracing for the changes nonetheless.  This is already apparent to us that when it comes to all the equipment that comes with a baby, we do not know much.  After spending over an hour in the stroller isle at Babies R Us, the employee (who was all of 16 years old) fi

nally offered to show us how the stroller folded up.   Our lack of knowledge was confirmed tonight at IKEA.  While in the children's section Bruce asked why are there dog water bowls in the kids section?  I turned to see him with the strangest look on his face holding a toddler's training potty!  I don't know who is in for the bigger surprise....Bruce or Baby girl Moore!
